The Dolomites were declared UNESCO World Heritage on June 26th in 2009 because of their outstanding nature, their unique geology and the wide amount of national parks with their many beautiful peaks. Our mountains are among the most beautiful and important natural landscapes in the world. It is an honor for all the people who live and work in this region that those fascinating mountains got this important award.
